Who Are We #2: Introducing our Cinematographer Axel Ebermann

After a lengthy absence, we are back with our latest "Who Are We" segment. And we are proud to announce that "The Next Page" has a cinematographer. Who is it? Our good friend Axel Ebermann. 
So here is the breakdown on Axel's career. 

-He is already an accomplished documentary director in his native Germany. 
 -He graduated ‘summa cum laude’ with a B.A. in ‘Writing and Directing for Fiction Film’ from the City University of New York (CUNY), where in his senior year he not only won ‘Best Directing’ for his short ‘Wired’, but also took home the trophy for best editing for the documentary, “10-a Good Buddy.”
-After graduating, Axel focused on his career as a cinematographer. He has been involved in numerous fiction films, advertising productions, and documentaries. He is also a skilled steadicam operator. 
-His credits include productions for Discovery Channel, Fuse, FX Networks, CNBC, A & E, CNN, ESPN and Showtime as well as for the German stations ARD, ZDF, ProSieben, kabeleins, Deutsche Welle, Bayerischer Rundfunk, NTV, N24, 3sat, the Swiss station SF1 and the German- French channel arte. Notable advertising clients are Lufthansa, Mastercard, McDonalds, Nikon and Samsung.

-He recently worked on the World Cup music video featuring Jennifer Lopez and Pitbull as a steadicam operator. 
-He worked as a camera operator on the Academy Award OSCAR nominated documentary “How to Survive a Plague.” His documentary ‘Shooting Star’ won the award for ‘Best Documentary’ at the San Diego Black Film Festival.
How did we meet Axel?
We met Axel on a film shoot in the fall of 2011. David worked with him as a camera assistant and then the two worked together on a number of other commercials, short films, feature films, music videos and web series together in the following years.
